you can put blocks on them too. just get u-bolts made.

i have a 69 longbed n i back halfed it i tried it first the way yall r doin it with the trailing arms n it wouldnt lay speakin from experience i would just back half it just my 2cents

Cut the frame off behind the cab and build a new one from 2x3 or 2x4 tube.

it'll come close with the stock trailing arms, you would have to use blocks, and run the bags inside the frame rails, there just isn't enough room in the spring location, the ART kit uses it there because it's not designed to lay. Even with the bags inside the frame on the arms you'll end up binding the arms on the frame before you lay, best to just back half it, or notch and 4-link it. That's my winter project this year, that and a crossmember sectioning.... good luck!.check mine, it's blocks, bags inside the rails, longer panhard, and bags and spindles up front.

does any one know how hard it is to back half it what all is involved and what about the cross member sectioning?
