steel prices

right, i was saying that because i work at a fab shop, and from different jobs we accumulate alot of "drop" which is leftover pieces from the job since we buy materials in 20-40ft pieces......

true, is there any type of steel that SHOULDNT be used? im guessing cold rolled is what I need, as stock frames are that...but anything NOT to get so when I go in and ask they don't try to sell me shit I don't need.

just ask if they have some 4x3 rectangular tubing, most anything you will find will be a36 hot rolled, its your common mild steel.... it would be rare to find any other type of material that size at a general fab shop......

is 4x3 3/16 wall some rare breed or something? noone around here carries it, and noone has scraps. its rediculous. guess I gotta go an hour away to get it....

i use 3x4x3/16 everyday about 64 20 foot sticks a week where i work

sure as hell seems like noone needs it around here. I can only get it on order. I guess i'm just gunna wait a bit until after this cruise to order my steel.
