Hey Guys... Anyone really familliar with the Fullsize Chevy suspensions from 85-86. I need to know if the ALL the stuff from an 86 4wd k5 will be the same as an 85 2wd Suburban !?!

Any help would be greatly appreciated... I wanna go fetch it SOON... but i would like this to be as simple as it can be (-$$$)

4WD and 2WD suspension are different..

But the cool thing about those Chevys, is the 2WD and 4WD share the same frame, so the holes are already there to bolt in a 2WD crossmember and steering box, etc.

frames are the same but everything else is defferent baiscally all the cross members are differnet due to the 4wd has straight axle setup so theres more holes i the frame than the 2wd

Well you will need to swap out the transmission. Or, remove the transfer case, and install a 2WD tail housing, and the rear shaft from a 2WD transmission. Which means pulling the tranny apart.

Ha ha, i forget we're all minitruckers on here... I'm trying take the 4wd stuff and make the burban SKY-HIGH first, then the Blazer may get LAYED with the left overs, lol...

I see. Yeah you would just need a longer rear shaft. If you're lifting it though, the front shaft will be too short as well.

Also I happen to have some 20" lift springs for a Chevy. Lol.
