I want to start aquiring parts for my air suspension

What is everybody is using for compressors, air tanks, and valves?

How many compressors, and tanks?

All I want is to be able to lower and raise my truck while sitting parked, and I think I just what front and back no side to side. This is my first air setup and I think I am a little lost

Can anybody recommend a system or components that I would be happy with?

I tried searching on this subject but I came up with nothing

Thank you,

check out suicidedoors.com or avsontheweb.com those are 2 good places to buy parts online. i have dealt with both and havent had any problems.

most people are running 2 viair compressors and (2) 3-5 gallon tanks and 8 valves. run 8 valves even if u dont want side to side or individual wheel control otherwise you will get a lot of swaying around corners and turns from the pressure shifting

they are right you def. need 8 valves I have tried alot of diff. valves and the ones that I think are the best are the extreme 250 1/2 " valves there are several diff. places to get them I went to godfathers just because I live in Atl and I could go in and pick them up they run around 50-60 each as for the bags I would use firestone 2600 or better I am using 3800 if you are going to tow a lot over the axle is the best set up and u def. need 2 tanks but as 4 compressors viair is good I have them on one of my cars but engine driven is the only way to go if it's on a truck as you have plenty of room under the hood and save your self a lot of head aches and get your fittings from the local parker store if you need anything else hit me up I have been messing with air and hydro. for 15 yrs

I run 3 valves on the front and 3 on the back. On the front 2lift and 1 dump and on the back 1 lift and 2 dump. They are tied together. I don't get any air transfer from side to side. No leaning or anything. The reason I do it this way is with individual corners if you blow a line or bag, just that corner will drop leaving you uncontrollable of your vehicle, you can not stop safely with weight off one corner. With them tied together, yes your whole front or rear will drop together, but you will be able to stop. I had this happen to me with an old s10 with hydros and I damn near got into an accident cuz I couldn't stop.

my setup is all air ride tech for the actual suspension parts but my managment is not

air ride tech:
front air ride arms and bag setup
rear air ride setup

and then for the managment:
i got 8 3/8 aro valves used them for like about 6 years now
a 5 gallon tank and 2 viair 480s

hope this helps

Thanks all, but I really don't have the room for an engine driven compressor the 7.3 powerstroke is a big engine for that engine compartment

How come you just don't run 1 large tank instead of 2 tanks?

does it have a longer fill/ recovery time?

Also I would like to 4-link the truck with a SD parallel kit on the outside of the framerails. The truck does not have any room behind the axle to mount the bags inside of the frame because of the rear fuel tank and crossmember. I am going to use an small notch I really dont want to do major surgery to the bed floor, so I don't think bag over axle will work. I have an idea to mount the bags behind the axle outside the framerails.

By the way I have an 18' car trailer with with a 4500 lb. truck that I tow once in a great while

Anyone have an opinion on this setup?

I am thinking of using Slam Specialties RE8 bags

Here is a crude drawing I did on paint to better show you

that looks just like a air ride tech kit it will work just fine for what u r wanting to do but the bag behind the axle can cause premature were on the bushings as it causes a slight twisting in the axle from the weight you should consider the 3800 bags as thet take alot less psi to raise the truck
