they are profiling the cars that they are calling out. which is gay because i know some people that have cars with strut tower bars and stuff like that that they drive daily and only race at the track. now if they catch them street racing im all for it.

sorry bro for your hurt feelings, but on top of that link doesnt work. how is it not right? is it right they decide to be racing and hit another car with an infant in it? NO! i cant see how its not fair. whats not fair is that innocent people get hurt or even killed because some dumb fucks are racing, thats what isnt fair. so if u wanna stand up for people that kill people or hurt go right ahead, maybe you dont realize it until it hits closer to home.
Cali laws are tight. You can say fuck this and fuck that all you want. But there are MANY little areas of Cali law. Technically they can impound your ride for any violation deemed unsafe by an officer.
But as far as condensed rice. They have tried to sell parts in the past. Turns out alot of the parts they tried to sell were stolen. And some of the parts even showed back up at auction on other cars impounded. The cars being crushed have verified stolen drivetrains or other items.
Ontario was becoming a mecha of street racing when I got out of it. They are cracking down there and in Torrance, which was always a "safehaven" for racing. They used to race in an industrial area with a sheriffs station on one turn and CHP on the other. Times change and so does the amount of safety taken. If you treat the streets like a track and keep people behind the cars.. we never had a problem. When you have retards all the way down jumping out of the way, likes its the pampaloma bull runs, then you will have the man cracking down.
Once Dragging catches on and people get hurt it will be the same way. For the most part you don't have packs of people getting together then planning to go drag on a street. Rides have burned but so far no one has been seriously hurt. Once that happens then it will be on.

which is true, but i dont believe its going to become soooooo mainstream like street racing.
I am not defending the racers. I am the one that is the most against it. I am talking to the guys saying that the cops don't have the right to crush the cars. Why shouldn't they? If people look at the stories that have been written on these 6 cars, they were all caught doing to being involved in some form of racing or law violation. They got what they deserve. If you think that I am sticking up for them you are well mistaken. I live in Ontario CA and I have seen these type of guys go up and down the street by my house, and I know a guy that was killed because he was stupid trying to race an import and when he crashed and killed himself they left the scene.
ok well it did seem that you were defending them, and i appologize for my misconception (SP) of what you said. the laws are becoming more and more extreme, because the laws arent stopping kids from street racing. if there is a threat that your car might get crushed i think kids will take it a little more serious especially if they get caught and lose there car out of the deal.
I am sorry cause I have not read the stories, but if they are able to verify the stolen items has there been any attempt to contact the true owner and determine if they want their parts back?
I am not so sure I like the idea of crushing a vehicle due to someone doing something illegal. I respect that the current laws go unheeded none the less I fear that this could stretch into more levels and our community. I would hate to be driving my truck for fear of it getting crushed. Granted nothing on it is stolen and I will not drag it yet the fear is there that I could be lumped into a group.
Where does the law draw the line between enforcement and destruction of property?
I would hate for anything to happen to my wife and kids but if someone has no concern over another life to do something like drag race on a street then spending the rest of their lives behind bars will be a reminder.
P.S. Being an automotive enthusiast it had me sick to see the vehicles crushed. I do not like imports that much but I see guys who work days and nights on end building something and here all that work is destroyed. Why not something more productive like a storage yard and show the numbers grow with each impounded car? Just my 2 cents, stepping off soap box. Thanks for reading.
The only way I see can see draggin becoming as big of issue as street racing is if it gets popularized in Hollywood. Like what F&F did for tuner's and street racing. I hope this never happens. I don't want the scene to be watered down with millions of kid's rushing out to get a mini just to drag it all over hell and back. Just my couple pennies, hate on it if you will.
