sad if you ask me. Our vehicles are way more modified than most of those cars, and hell, half of the bagged trucks out there are deathtraps.

I'm not a huge fan of tuners, and yes streetracing is dumb, and can hurt people, but this is 100% bullshit. If this doesn't piss you off as a custom car and/or truck owner something is wrong with you.

One of the first things you are taught as a child is that isn't yours, you can't have that. Driving on government owned roads is a privelage, but owning your car is your business. This is just one more reason why I hate cops and all of their bullshit. I'm sure we have all been blown away by a cop on the highway, so what happens when they kill someone, are we going to crush their car. Just complete bullshit.

if they want to keep their car, they should be an adult about it, there are official tracks for a reason

it's not even about the racing really. these cars being crushed are ILLEGAL. read the story here, http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19339955/

from the article,,,,

"Police need a court order to destroy the cars. They must prove that the serial or identification numbers on a vehicle or its parts are removed, altered or destroyed.

When police popped open the hood, Hoang said, they found a stolen transmission. Hoang flashed a receipt for the transmission he bought from his father who runs an auto shop and doubted the item was hot".

I'm sure the tranny was stolen.
