I had Firestone's on my truck, switched to Slams. The Slams have more lift and load carrying capacity, the built in bump stops are a good feature for me as I don't want my truck to lay frame. The slams just seem to be the better choice in all categories. Yes the Stone's will compress more, the 2500's I had went to 2", compared to the Slams at 3" compressed. I don't know if there is really any difference in reliability though.
Like everything else in life, personal preference will play a big factor. Until you've tried both for yourself it's hard to know what you'll like better.

going to swtch sono to slams from firestones...have never had them befor..so going to try...all my friends run them and say theats all they will run..but dont know my self
