How much did you narrow your axel?

I ma getting my axle narrowed on my Dakota and wondering how much you guys have cut off of yours. I am cutting 4" total, maybe 6". Just wanted to see how much you guys are doing.

I narrowed mine 5." I havent tubbed mine yet, doing that now, but if you went 6 you would have to tub it. I'm pretty sure. Check mine out and see what you think.

I wanna say mine is 6". I have 20x8.5 with +15 offset. The fender lip is untouched. If you want some pics let me know what you want pics of and I will try to get some.

Mine is shortened 6"....it was a lot cheaper because it worked out to where i only had to get 1 new axle...cause we just flipped the short one around where the axles are dif. lengths

Yes I would love some pics. I am mainly interested to see how much clearance you have between inside of tire and frame rail. And yeah the only reason I was even considering narrowing 6" was so I could just get one axle. I don't think i would have enough clearance between the frame rail and tire for the link setup I have though. Oh and pics to djwolf37@gmail.com

I have 3&1/2-4 inches between frame and tire. Thats with a 275/40/20. If you are even thinking about bodydropping I would go ahead and go 6" so you clear the bodyline. I will try to get a pic or two tonight for you.

Mine is only narrowed 3" with an 8.5" rim and still have plenty of room between the tire and the fender.
