I bought my truck with 4 22s and planned on buying two steel 22.5 to cut down to run on the inside, but found out you cant mill the steelies. My question can I run my steer wheels on the inside in the rear and just buy new steer wheels?

Also, I know every one on here gets their panties in a wad over the specs on cutting down 22.5s, but if you dont mill the O.D. of the wheel you mill the bead surface then why are you "stretching" a 22" tire to fit on an uncut 22.5" wheel? Just trying to decide If I really want to buy another pair of Alcoa's, stretch some tires on some steelies, or run 16s. Thanks.

I have 16's on the inside of mine. I found a place in Conroe that sell alum. wheels for 125 a piece.
