trying to figuer out what my trucks worth

i have a guy that wants it after it done. and i will sell if i get the right price want to biuld me a shop and stop paying 600 a mounth on rent

You've done some nice things to yours. Like the hidden hydroboost and smoothed firewall. Plus the engine. That is better than the one lilj just bought. But I think the suspension is better on lilj's. It's kinda only worth what someone will give you. I think the one lilj bought had been for sale for like 6 months or better, so if you got a buyer and are willing to take what he is offering the chance may not come up again for awhile.

just my .02 cents. But with the exchange rate it is worth about .25.

Asking prices are just starting points for negotiations. You will only sell it for what the market will allow.

For example-

Say I have a '00 S-10 that I'm really proud of. So I list it for $25,000 cause I think it's really nice. Along comes Joe Blow and he offers me $6,500 because that's all the bank will give him according to the KBB.

What I want for it, and what reality says I'll get for it, just collided. So unless there's some stupid kid out there who's rich uncle just died, the most I'll get out of it is 10K...at best.

Conversely, when your dealing with vehicles that are to old for banks to finance anymore, you're more or less dependant on how much the buyer has in regards to liquid assets. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing in the Hot Rod market, but honestly, who's typically in the market for trucks like ours? Broke, younger guys.

If you could get 10K for it...I'd take the money and run.
