Well said, I didn't know about the dynamic stress thing, but I know that 6010 will look like ass and probably undercut the sh*t out of your metal. And you may want to leave your welds exposed instead of grinding them down and smoothing them, Personally i think 7018 welds look clean if done the right way, and definately less cleanup than 6010. Plus they are easier in my opinion than 7018

7018's are not harder to use, i weld with both 7018's and 6011's everyday and would prefer 7018's. and you can make a bead with a stick welder as you can with a mig welder. a 7018 is just as strong as a mig weld. both hold 70,000 pounds per inch. a 6013 can (only) hold 60,000 pounds per inch. just remember that with a stick welder never run downhill.

well if we use a stick I wont be the one welding it, the guy who has the Ranger 8 generator/welder will be doing the welding if we had a mig i would do it.. lol but thanks for the feedback... will have pics up when we get it done next weekend....

even 6013 would work fine for frame work
and its the easiest to use and produces better looking welds
