Double Crew.....

So I have been brainstorming lately and came up with this idea, stretching my Crewcab to a double crew, I have found a place in michigan

I inquired as to how much this would cost, with no paint work and the interior left unfinished.........

$18,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think not, so I am in the process of procuring a 98 crew cab with the frame cut at the front and rear of it, benefits are 2 fold, upgrade to a later style interior, and have everything(almost) for the double crew conversion 2 begin.

Has anyone experience with this on the boards?

Les if you are out there respond

I saw one quite a few years ago in Pigeon forge, stock height but didn't look proportionate to the front end and the bed looked super short compared to the cab, I have always wanted a ford f350 ext, crew cab. They made a few of them back in the mid 90's I believe it was. they look pretty good but I think only in 4x4.

i started to put my extended cab section behind my crew cab but it did look really out of proportion maybe if you lengthened the bed about 2 more feet and added a second rear axle and had it on 10 semis it would be pretty sweet

i made my 2dr yota into a quadcab and it wasnt bad. The main problem youll have is making a c pillar if you dont have 2 crewcabs to work with. It would def be cool, all ive seen are stock or lifted trucks.

take a suburbbody cut it short after the reardoors take a rearwall from a pickup and stick that on a lengtened frame with a bed behind it .
think it would be a lot less work and the doors wil be eazier to fix in case of damage
if you get a complete donorvehicle you have the interiour bits too you only need to cut the carpet and the verry rear trimming
