where did the blazer go?
First off Where was i when he was building it? lol. Second i give him props for being innovative but i think its a bit over kill. ITS STILL A SICK PROJECT WITHOUT THE ADJ.LIFT.Third. About...shit...4 years ago i was ona road trip down south and kept seein all the semi's having the under cab single air bags , about the size of a pop can, and had the same idea as this guy, have the truck lay frame then let it lay the body.
One thing tho is im sure the hardest thing about accomplishing this Adj. Body lift is the wiring, all the clearence issues and what about the STEERING how the hell would that work? but deffinatly a interesting topic for sure.
o this is for the guy that didnt like BIG SIGNATURES
sorry couldn't hold that in
the only thing i could think of for steering would be a fully one off telescoping steering shaft. I bet you could easily get it to go from 10" in length to about 18 or so
Im in favor of it hahaha do that shit bro
If this guy could drive his truck like this, (which i've seen him do) getting that blazer to steer shouldn't be a problem. where there's a will there's a way. I like the idea for showing off all the hours of frame work, and just for the simple fact that it's different, why can't that just be enough?
To me it seems like a great mod - hella functional? Think about it, if you like to drag without fxckin' up your expensive paintjob and body work it's ideal. Just raise the body up a couple inches before you dump the frame on the ground and have fun - without worry. Makes total sense to me? Plus you could show off your custom frame whenever you like.. Picture being clowned on at the cruise spot at a stop light. When the competition thinks its all done that'd be a shocker to lay out and jack up your body and blind em with a sick chassis + it makes it waaaay easier to clean underneath.. That's a trifecta. I give him props for doin' something fun.
Yes it is Kris Dye's truck as mentioned before. I believe he stopped working on it for a couple of reasons. For one he was working at suicidedoors.com for a while and the truck was in a different state. He moved back to where the truck was but now I think his time is devoted to his business.
I don't know how much he wants to let people know how he plans to do everything but I'll send him a link to this thread so he can post in it.
I believe his reasoning for doing this other than it being something different was to be able to show off the frame work at shows, drag with the body lifted, as well as being more than able to turn while having 24's on a blazer.
the steering issue is simple .......Hydraulic........
I thought he had quit because he had a problem with steering? I might be wrong though.....not thinking to straight right now just got in an accident with the s-dime so a lil pissed.
