Somebody, somewhere needs to come up with something. I don't care who or what it is. If going green will save me $$$, count me in.

At $3.50/gallon for gas, there's definately a need for domesticated alternatives.

Besides, I'd rather give my money to American companies than give it to some towel head that would just as soon see us all dead.

I normally don't think the government should do anything, let supply and demand work but in this case I'm going to have to say that maybe they need to step in. I'm not saying they should set price or anything like that but maybe use tax incentives or lack of incentives to get them to drop the price. The high gas prices are crippling the American economy. And the average middle class citizen can't do anything about it. I've spent lots of time running numbers on buying a motorcycle or more fuel efficient car but it just don't add up, even with gas as high as it is.

But then there is also the fact that people are idiots. I get emails everyday saying don't buy gas on this day or that day. Fill your car slowly in the morning. Don't buy from the big companies. I got one for you.

STOP DRIVING!!!

Lots of people can car pool, walk, ride a bike, or take public transportation but they are to lazy or stupid. We look at the auto as freedom and independence, right now all it looks like to me is a ball and chain. So I guess I can't blame the gas companies to much for getting as much as they can for their product. Every other company gets to ask what they want and if it's to much you don't buy it. So don't bitch about high gas prices while making your third trip of the day to wal-mart to pick up some $2.00 item.
