Boyd Coddinton died this morning...

Everything he did in his life and he died of old age. I try to live healthy and will probably get hit by a bus.


It's to bad though. I feel for his family.

He had liver problems and already had one tranplant.

Condolences to his famliy and friends.

funny story.. me and my bud drew were out in ca visiting my fam and taking the hot rod tour of ca. So we hit a few shops and then noticticed that I was low on gas. So we looked around for awhile still heading to boyds and then ran out of gas as we pulled in to the parking lot at boyds. (for some reason LA has no gas stations) So we went inside and looked around and he was in his office chating away on the phone. We asked the secertary if they had a gas can and where the closest station was. He heard this and had his son run in back and grab us some. Only problem was the only fuel they had was 110 and I was driving my moms 98 caddy. It ran real good all the way back to modesto till it melted the fuel pump..

Not a huge fan of his style...but respect nonetheless.

Back when I was 13-14 I used to scrape togehther cans so I could buy rod mags. I thought he was the ish.

Then one day back in '97-'98-ish, me and a buddy stopped in Barstow to get gas on our way to Vegas. We pulled in and no shit, there was (damn if I can't remember the name of the stinking car now) that red 50's Chevy (Impala?) roadster sitting in the parking lot. Unbeliveable, the attention to detail in that car. It was amazing.

Somebody help me out with the name of that damn car.
