Camper shell or not?

I keep finding more reason to get rid of my Camper shell..


How many of you love having your shell & why?

I do like the look & have thought when I start towing my other toys to the desert & such that sleeping under the shell would be a nice shelter from the elements..

But I've also thought about how I need a new fridge & without the top I could get a fridge using the truck bed.
My girlfriends son has a dirt bike & we could take him out to the track using the truck & backing into a paralle parking spot would be easier..

I just hate to get rid of it & then regret it...

So I thought I ask you guys, your thoughts on this.

Im not a big fan of camper tops, but I would say maybe take it off and not sell it and see how you like it with out it, and if its not a good than you can just put it back on.

I suppose I could try to find a temp location for it, Maybe....

I like them, but they do make trucks look dated. I would find a place to store it to see if you like not having it on there. Like I said, it looks nice on there, but I personally wouldnt put one on my truck.

...or update it and put matching Holandia 524 panoramic roofs in the cab and shell...

Just meant that I see alot of guys that have shells on the back of there trucks they have sliding ragtops in the roof of the cab and in the camper shell.........just thought these panoramic roofs would be different.

there's a lot of rain where im from and a campershell keeps the load dry and protect it against theft .
besides that in my case it would keep everything in the bed since i need to raise the floor a lot to get everything under there

I too have the same problem I like it with the top and without the top. the top can be a pain in the ass sometimes but others it is so nice to have. I would prefer to only use it when I need it but i have no where to put it.
