I have to move my compressor further from the battery,where is the best place for inline fuse,close to battery or compressor

As close to the battery as possible is the safest. If you have it by the compressor and there is a short in the line before the fuse, the fuse will do you no good. Always put the fuse as close to the battery as possible anytime you are running a power straight off the battery terminal.

close to the battery for the same reason above. i learned that the hard way. 15 miles on no air.
