dei 450r brain

i have a dei 450r that i got used. the original owner has 8 relays hooked up and 8 wires coming out. how do i use all the channels. the remote i have only has 4 buttons. i tried pressing 2 or more buttons at a time but nothing is working. anyone have any idea how to work these other channels? thanks.
