Yea you need your cell to be as close to 12 deep to keep the factory gauge working right. Mine looks pretty much like the one up there.

OK so how does a 12" depth the right depth????? my cell is 12" deep and my gauge is off, there are a couple of gallons of gas that i will never use since the stock pump is only like 7" deep. So what am i missing??? Some one please help me out with this.....

here's what we did with my rci... raised 1 1/2 or whatever it was so its the same depth

just an FYI...i fit a factory Cherokee tank under a dakota bed near the rear of the frame without any problems.

Got any pics man? Also what year Cherokee tank did you use, i just happen to have a parts jeep that is a Cherokee

i have no idea..we just rumaged around the junkyard til we found one that looked like it would fit. When we pulled it down, the fuel pump happened to be the same one...i would say it was luck, but i rarely have good luck. OHHH I am in alabama, junkyard guys let us just walk around here...i know some areas they dont go for that.
