I have a 99 S-10 STD Cab ... and I have a slider back window ...I want to take the window out to finish shaving my 3rd brake light but also b/c I will eventually have a glass guy come and put in a smooth glass in the back ...I dont want to call/pay someone to do it ...does anyone know how I can get the urethane out?... can I use a sharp knife?? ...use a knife and than piano wire? ...any advice? ...thanks guys

use a razor knife and cut from the inside out. making several passes over the urethane will cut through it.

you sure its a urethane in window, Most rear glass is rope in.

yea I know to cut it from the inside...but a razor knife?? ...you mean like a box cutter?

THEY ACTUALLY SELL A WINDOW KNIFE YOU MIGHT CHECK SOME OF YOUR PARTS STORES BUT YOU CAN USE A BOX CUTTER IT JUST MIGHT BE A LITTLE MORE DIFFICULT
