rear bumpers?

have mazda's ever come stock with rear bumpers or are they options?I have never seen one around here with a bumper, only the holes for the mounts and the license plate lights. I was just wondering for when I do get mine on the road

my standard cab mazda had a stock chrome rear bumper it an LX and my extra cab mazda has just the two rubber plugs.

It was an option from the factory. Everyone I've ever owned has had a bumper and they always been a bitch to get off usually ended up using the torch.
