Firewall...

I am about to shave my firewall on my Sonoma and i dont know about the Distributor Cap will it hit my firewall when i put my 350 in do i need to cut into my firewall for it? Also my Windshield Wipers motor do they make one that is not on my firewall? i dont want it on my firewall but i need my wipers i think if i cant find one i will just take them off but i dont want to if i dont have to. Any help would be great thanks.
