No it needs to be tacked till its solid then ground slowly so u dont warp it grinding either. Once its ground smooth and u dotn have holes left hit it with spot blaster or wirewheel then apply ur filler

weld it solid dude... i don't understand people when they just throw a couple tacks on.

i would grind those tacks down( i like to use 36 grit resin discs) using a electric grinder can make the metal hottter and warp it. also tack/grind tack/grind DO NOT cool it w/ air or a wet rag as it will shrink the metal and warp it! just take your time.

take it slow too man, like Keef said, you don't want to warp it

yeah thanks guys, i got it all welded up and just shot some primer on it. when it drys ill just have to add a lil mud to it. and i took my time, it was suck really bad to warp the hole roof! lol
