to make a longstory short i've come into some money unexpectanly and now its looking like i will beable to afford a dually as early as next week. so my dilema is do i buy one with a 350 or 454. it'll be mostly used for daily dring but it will be used in the summer to pull a 25' enclosed trailer with a truck in it to shows. question is what kind of gas milage am i looking at with both motors with and without towing? btw if anyone has a 96+dually for sale let me know. would prefer a crewshort bed model , but know there rare

in my own opinion the diesels are great if you get a good one i have had 2 and they both sucked but it did get 21 mpg on the highway

go diesel, how much are you willing to spend if you dont mind me asking. get an 01 or newer dmax if you can. lb7's are great motors and you can still find them with relatively low milelage. just my 2 cents thow.

looking in the 8-9k range. i want a 95-00 model , dont really care for the newer body syles. found one locally for $8500. its a 96 with the 454 and 50,000 miles. hoping its still for sale next week.

it really doesnt matter what motor you get they both get shitty gas mileage. i got a 454 and get about 12 to 14 on the highway.
