Well normally i dont bitch or say much negative things bout companies/products/people ....but just seen this topic tonight and couldnt resist.
I just walked away from putting a FBI skin on my truck and have got to say i am 100% disgusted with the fitment. When I test fitted it i found that it is taller from the bodyline up by a smidge (just enough to piss ya off and cause decent problems) then the curvature is completely lopsided as well from side to side ....and well simply not even one side to the other even remotely matches each other ....fitment all around period is truely sad.
Now as a previous customer of FBI on hte past build for my truck i used FBI everything bout 4 years ago ....and honestly was completely satisfied without a doubt and the rollpan & fillers fit like a glove without any modification at all.....but this time im not.
Now normally I would have test fitted and basically anything that fit my truck like that...pretty much tossed it in the trash literally ....but I had some financial and family problems pop up this week and bascially initially conned myself into "id make it work" since with some new issues popping up i wont be able to afford a new skin for a bit..... so i went ahead and started it even though the test fit wasnt to great and left a whole lot to desire to say in a nice way.....
well bout 4 hours later it finally hit me while working on it and i couldnt con myself any longer ..... I just got through grafting in isuzu humps into my bedsides (and flaring them a lil more) and also just got through spending a ton of time on sheetmetaling the bed...... and all of a sudden realized....this skin from FBI just ruined my entire bed and i deserved to have my ass kicked for even conning myself into using it and jepordizing my truck.
So basically FBI has officially just made me a grant customer for life.... i just hope anyone in the past that i might have steered towards them on sheetmetal never had these bad of issues and just the notion that it might have now makes me feel like an ass for doing so.
