Last one I saw with the frame under set up, the guy had excellent lift when he was running a big wheel set up.

I like the underdog frame myself, but all 4 bars mounted under the axle is not the keenest idea.
enough power or grip or both will tear the axle right off the mounts, there is no counterbalance to the force.
Otherwise, cool idea and sure doesnt take up much bed real estate.
I know you know your shit Russ, but I have to dissagree a little here. If you go look at some rock crawlers, all of the links mount on the top side of the axle for more ground clearance. This is just the opposite. I probably would have mounted the upper bars to the front of the axle tube to reduce the stress levels it sees.
And I agree abot the frame looking pieced together. Its a cool idea, but I think theres too many cuts and bends in the frame. I would have liked to see it made a little bit differently. I have my own ideas, but that does nothing.

or use 360 degree mounts that wrap all the way around the tube. Axle tubes are pretty thin, I dont know about rock crawlers but I'm betting he will have problems with that setup. If I had the choice I would like them on the top though.

yea, i personally dont think that frame looks that good. nice idea, but almost looks like a organized pile of welded scrap metal.

oh russ arent you just full of it ha ha, J/K man you know more than i about this type of thing. I remember in truckin a while back they had a full size chevy frame that was blue, that had the frame set up similar to this but much cleaner. I will have to go and look through my old mags and find it.

actually thinking about it right now I dont see how it will work at all, the differing arc lengths will bind the axle and not rotate it. Its the same way you give someone an indian burn, each set of bars will be twisting different ways on the lower part of the axle.
