i bagged and bodydropped a 98 s-10 on 22*8.5's with a +18 offset and silverstar customs control arms. silver star told me to run a +18 offset wheel in front to clear fender, but i had to add 1" of shims to get the wheels to clear the fenders, which still hit slightly. laid out without fenders on, the wheels had basically no camber but as soon as you lift it, it goes wayy positive!! with the shims in upper control arm, the wheels are still barely positive cambered through suspension travel, but at the last 1" til laying, it cambers like crazy!! the wheels camber in past the fender and stick higher than them. it is bodydropped 3 inches and i can't keep them under the hood, but i have seen other work. the tires are 245/30/22's, so it's not like i'm running swampers on it. ok, here's my question... wtf? do i need different arms? do i need to run a VERY high front offset like a +38 and take the shims out and have my outer sidewalls get ruined any time i lift the truck up? i'm lost.

sorry u arent gettin any help on here...i am actually goin thru the same thing...i have a sonoma bodydropped 3" and and gonna run 22s all around on it and tryin to figure out the backspacing on it! I dont know personally about the silverstar arms but did an older blazer on 22s b/d w the suicide doors arms and worked pretty good. U r gonna get camber all the way down...one thing is make sure u have 3" drop spindles and not 2" that helps also. I will keep you informed of what i come up w!

I've never delt with the Silver Star arms before, But I do firmly believe in the Air Ride Technologies arms. With ART arms, DJM drop spindles (2"), and 1/2" of alignment shims on the upper arms you will have close to -4 degrees of camber when laid out. When the truck is lifted the most positive camber you will see is maybe a 1/2 a degree. This is with a 22x8.5 with 5" of BS with a 245/30/22. Second, if you are actually laying body in the front there is no way you will get your hood closed, There is not enough room. I had to split my fenders and do a whole lot of sheetmetal work just to get it to LAY on 22s up front. And on the lower arms you will have to cut the shock mount off the top of the arms and relocated to the bottom for frame clearance. Hope this can help a little.
