I already have my whole frame built, minu sthe yota clip on the front, and this week Im working on connecting it. So yes, I do not want to narrow it or widen it and affect the yota steering components. So back to my original dilemma now, I need to know the fix of the balljoint bindage. Drop spindles, flip the joints etc? Let me know guys. I have my firewall already cut out and new bushings for the clip on the way. Id like to order anything else I need asap. Later

how far are you from laying out? are you using the factory yota balljoints? I ask because if it's really close to laying out, perhaps a set of moog balljoints would give you the little extra amount of movement you need.

I would also think that the drop spindle would help it out, as well as help with the amount of camber your getting, which will help with the brake booster problem too.

yota balljoints get ALOT of travel, and yes you need drop spindles or it wont lay. run an s10 upper balljoint( i think we used 94) they fit in the spindle and the nut tightens w/ some washers. it gets more travel. gumps truck went from having hideous camber to almost none

I take it you just drilled new holes in the upper?? Is the taper the same or is it a 'close enough' kind of deal?

Well, I've heard you have to ream out S10 spindles to fit the screw in Chrysler balljoint that is the same taper as Toyota. From that, I would guess its close enough. But then again it could fit just fine.

cris built all new uppers for mine and used an s10 balljoint. before w/ the stock yota balljoints, they upper would bind out. now with these, it doesn't bind.

Ok. So order some belltech drop spindles and an S10 upper balljoint. And should I go ahead and flip them all while Im at it and run them on top of the arms? Hey Gump, are those arms longer than stock and what advantages do they have? Also does the guy make them for other people? Thanks for the help guys. Im ready to be getting this thing together!

You dont need drop spindles on a yota to layout, but you will get bad negative camber. Put some drop spindles in there and most of the negative camber will go away.
