I'm Dan Russell I built the truck from the ground up. I had Mike Jansen bodydrop it back in 98. It was one of the first bodydrops on the east coast. I cant think of another one from that time that still around. The fact is I had the truck for too long and my son was real sick with real big Medical bills so it had to go. It's not mine anymore. I cant gripe abought things that go on after I sell it. Janet and I spend alot of time and love working on our rides. I dont think it's the guys fault. He fills out a tech sheet and mini trucking does the rest. Sad part is Mike Alexander shot the truck in feb 04 (you would think he would word it differently). It is nice to see the truck looking good though. Anybody seen Janet's bodydroped 72 C-10 ? The main thing is my son is now better and we WILL feature both of our rides this summer. Look for Janets 65 Impala in Lowrider and My duelly in anything but Minitrucking.

there's plenty of other features that have said they bought the truck partially built or fully built and say what they added on. its one thing to say you had to redo the bodywork/dros/engine because they werent well maintained, but to say that you did it all isnt fair either.

yeah you paid for it, but you would get a hella lot more props for saying although this that and the other was already done when i bought it, i had to redo it, than, i quote from mt"shon decided to go with hydros this time, and that is his only regret"

the paint work is sick, but even people that have had their trucks built by someone's shop give credit to that shop. the lowdown only has shon reese and jason miles.

Jumped the gun? It's not jumping the gun if names aren't mentioned in the feature. Jumping the gun would be bitching before the magazine came out.

But thats my point.. It's not the fact that he didn't say he bought the truck or even that someone else built. It claims that he made all the decisions, his ideas, his time, effort, money, you name it.. But it wasn't and thats what sucks.
