I would say test the starter as well. That was the issue that I was having.

if you extended any wires check them also, we had the same problem on my buddys truck after the bd and it was a wire making bad connection

as far as i know i have connected all the grounds, the fuel pump kicks in when i turn the key, and the motor turns over when i turn the key. i've gone over my wires over and over. for some reason it's just not gettin any power thru the spark plugs...

i checked to see if it would crank when i extended my wires, before i completely had it torn apart for the BD, and it crank fine.

oh it's a 96 extended cab, automatic...

and i've already takin all the wiring out of my dash... as far as i know i've got all the wiring inside the truck that's supposed to be.

if i remember correctly, the motor shouldnt even turn over if it is a passlock issue...that shouldnt be the problem

you need 2 things to run, fuel and spark, if the fuel pump is running, check to see if you are getting spark to the plugs....

your fuel pump come on, im goin to guess theres fuel. have you checked spark? do you have any brake or carberator cleaner? spry some in the intake and try starting the motor. if it runs you know you dont ahve any fuel. if it doesnt, you have no spark.
put your engine close to the computer and ill take a closer look for yu

i'm gettin fuel... for some reason i'm gettin no spark. does anyone know off the top of there head what could cause it not to get any spark. is there just a certain wiring harness in the truck that just that harness causes the motor to get spark? D@mn i wish i had a carbureted motor!

check to make sure you computer is hooked up, look for any ring terminals that are loose, chances are they are grounds..... make sure your coil is good and is hooked up (make sure there is 12v going to the coil)........
