need help understanding

How does this shock set up work?

not knocking the work, just don't see how they would work. Looks like tey would work just like a link bar.

that is a good question. i don't see how it would work. they are parallel to the ground and have no angle is very weird.

ive done somethig similair before and it worked fine , not much travel in the shocks but it did work, rode great and is still goin,

That picture is aired out so the shocks are compressed. At ride height it will be angled, that's very similar to the shock set up on my Ranger

I love that five link set up and look it keeps the gas tank in the stock location

yea looks like that if it was aired up the shocks would be angled and extended a little which is when they would actually serve a purpose...looks pretty good

so then the shocks are considered link bars? in that case everyone running shocks could consider them link bars. I always wanted a six link

It's a forward wishbone 3 link, with rear lift bars...who said I was counting the shocks as link bars?I guess I need to take a pic sometime that shows all 5 bars clearly.

As for the question, the shock setup ended up being a last minute thing to get the shocks on lol, they don't work the greatest like that, but since I bought some real stiff Pro Comp offroad shocks they're stiff enough to work at that extreme of an angle, and like others said, they're not layed out flat when at ride height. We're going to change the shock setup here before it gets on the road again anyway.
