A 42" hitech led on my truck is not worth it. Isn't "as wide as practical"... But my $600 plus 62" hitech led is worth every penny.

seriously though, I doubt they are really worth their price tag, but they do look good. Are you going to be shaving your taillights or just use this led for an extra tail lamp?

im definitely shaving my taillights. the LED will be just a little bit lower than yours where the roll pan meets the botom of the tailgate.

Hi tech Leds are worth they price. They are the brightest LED's i have seen. If you have the money they are worth it.

vote #2 for custom classics... hightechs are way overrated IMO and are for the old guy hotrod builder that has more $ then sense

if you are using the led for your taillights, then i'd probably go with the hitechs. Although i don't know how bright the custom classics get. Also, if you drive this as a daily, make sure you get the longest one possible. Take it from me, you will get pulled over if they are not "wide as practical". i haven't had any problems since I upgraded my 42 to 62 though. Just an FYI
