Ok, you go from it about killed some guy, to now it happend to you. Whats next? The same thing happend to everyone in your family? Also it says in your profile that you do all you and your friends do all of your own work, so if it did happen to you, you have no one to blame exept yourself, cause you also said you were no expert.
Ow yea, blowjax, is aim, just cause someone else sells it doesnt' mean its no longer aim. If I buy something from sears, craftsman wrench, and sell it to you, it doesn't mean its no longer a sears product. Ow yea, and BTW, i've seen MANY cylinders brake, on Hondas, and Neons.

its not safe, welding on cast with steel plates just wont hold, yes it will hold for a while but it will break, a shop here done the exact same thing and 2 months l8tr they broke and about killed the guy driving on the interstate, so in my opion as a welder and someone that has done many hondas its an wreck waiting to happen

Ive always had success welding to cast by heating it with a torch to a melting point and then welding to it..Thats most of the problem you cant heat it up enough with mig to a point it will weld and blend the 2 metals together. So by heating it you make it a little more fuseable.

even heating is better, but tourch with the bracing is probally fine if you take your time. The slower you bring up the temp and drop it the better you are. I've known some 4x4 people and some hot rodders take a week to cool off a part. 325 is fine for that, if someone is only charging 100 bucks i'd bet money they arn't doing that and cheesing out somewhere.
I wouldn't say that since they have been on my car for over 2 years now, without a single problem. The guy I have doing them is a welder for a refinery, and has experience welding just about every exotic metal out there.

Damn $325 + shipping just to section the spindles. That's alot
Its alot of work....what sounds like a good price to you??
Don't know what a good price is but I can get them done local for around $100 and I bought all steel dropped spindles for a little more then your charging.
I don't know if you found anyone else James, but if not just hit me up when your ready and I'll get you in touch with the guy that did my spindels.

it happened to a guy i know in lexington ky on the interstate last year, it happened to me 2 years ago, i dont care what you think about me, i know what can happen and what has happened, all im sayin is i know it isnt safe, yeah they might last a month or 2 and they might not last a day or 2. just look at the design after they are done, look at the angle of it, thats alot of stress on them after the mod is done. but do what you want and make your own choice, cause like i said before i dont care
