4 link material

What does everyone use for their 4 link i mean beasue i can get my 4 link made out of stainless and i no from experience they are a bitch to keep cleanbut when they are their sexy lookin. But is stainless stronger than just carbon steel ?

I use mild steel, and paint it. You can also have links chromed.

mild steel

mild steel is easiest and cheapest. 4130 chromoly would be the best choice for cost, and strength. if you use stainless make sure you go with a weldable grade. stainless steels are a broad topic, there are grades that are way stronger than mild steel and there are grades that arent, look into it first.

if i remember correctly, stainless work hardends easier than mild steel and becomes brittle.

im going to have my mild steel bars powder coated "chrome". its a reflective silver that looks kinda like polished stainless or aluminum

yeah eastwood sells a couple differnt "chrome" powdercoats

A warning about the chrome powdercoat, its soft. It smudges easily. And don't try to buff it for more shine, it turns dull grey.

I'm having all my links powdercoated the same blue as my truck.

Its not cheap ass stainless i no that its my my old shop my dads friend works there and there htey make huge arse mixers for like all the Dupont Products and dupont is a huge company so i dont think they want shitty parts u no

i have heard the same warnings from a few people. im not planning on using it on my truck. i know eastwood sells a "clearcoat" powder that you can use over the reflective chrome, but even then it seems to dull it down a good bit.
