Stainless frame?

In the new(to me)streetrucks the I think toyota x-runner they built a stainless steel frame from the front clip back. Now I am no genious or a metal expert but I was under the impression that stainless becomes brittle(technical term I believe is work hardens) as it flexs. I wonder if that frame is very safe for long term use. Also how did they weld the stainless to the stock front suspension? Can you weld stainless to regular steel I did not think that was possible?

I am not putting it down it is great to think outside of the box I just was wondering.

You can weld stainless to mild steel. Im not sure on the characteristics of it hardening as it flexes but i think stainless has to BEND not flex to begin compromising integrity. Honestly i like the idea they had but in the end the frame came out looking like crap.

I heard from a source that the original clip and the stainless frame is bolted.
Not sure if it is bolted and welded, or just bolted thought.

I dont think Kris was to happy with the suspension work. The frame looks ok, but you can see where the metal is burned or scared from welding, the front a-arms were never painted and are now rust covered. I know the original arms bent and the arms on it now were built by bobby at sadistic. And that cowl.......man.....

Kris sold it to a guy here in arizona,(perfect poice) and now that gentleman has it for sale too.

Anybody got any pics of this thing.

I refuse to buy StreetTrucks after Johnny O's ignorant rant about gas prices and how no one should be allowed to make the kind of money the oil companys do.

What a socialist fool.

So yeah, any pics?

IMO the truck is ugly. I do not like that style of truck stock and then they screwed up the hood and the wheels are to small for the wheelwells. It is supposedly the first one built, big deal if it falls abart before the second one gets built. The interior looks nice on it. The burning on the frame would go away if they polished it stainless does that when welded no matter what(I think). In the factory I worked at the stainless parts looked like that before we dipped them to clean them and they were fine after words.
