if any of you remember i got a dually a while back and its been sitting since im building a mini truck...well im in need of a new daily...so i think i wana daily my oneton....i wont be driving it for work so ill just use it when im going out and whatnot....
so my first ? is how much can i drop it and still have a good/decent ride for daily driving?
i think its gonna need a new transmission so which one should i try to find? i might pull my mini everynow and then but i wont be pulling any heavy loads like a backhoe or anything.
and last can anyone post up some pics of some single cab onetons lowered on 19s or 22s?
thanx
well it is a one ton so it will never ride nice unless you bag it...or pull some leaves and put a helper bag in...which I thought about doing.
I dropped my 05 6-8 and all it was was arms, axle flip, shackles and pull out the over load. It didnt change the ride at all...it still feels like you are riding in a covered wagon down a cobble stone street.
throw some shit in the bed it'll help the ride
Hey Brasky, have you updated your SSM profile. I'd like to see the drop.
i found a pic of a 4/6 dually and how much drop could i get out of a flip kit? would i need a notch? and if i do 4/6 ide like the back to be a little lower than the front so could i pull a leaf and get a 4/7 or 4/8 to have a small rear rake?
Flips are 4-6" depending on where you put the bolt in the shackles. You will defintely need a small 3" notch in the rear unless you like to hear the axle and frame clang together.
i decided im gonna go ahead and put a full notch in...because i dont trust the small bolt in notches incase i wanna tow with it.....anyone got a drop kit they wanna sell?
if you got to weld in a notch just make one
