mazda alt. wires

i searched and didnt see anything pertaining to this. i need to know what the 2 wire plug does on the back of my alternator. its a 92 and the wire colors are white/black and black/white. thanks for any help.

White/black is from the alternator warning light.

Black/White is the switched hot lead from the ignition switch which excites the field within the alternator.

well i unplugged that connector and my battery stopped dying, so hopefully it doesnt damage anything. i dont have an ecu if that matters at all. i go and find my batt. drain then 2 days later the tranny goes. I F.UCKING LOVE MINITRUCKS!!! blah

I just hooked my GM 1 wire up last night and left those unhooked and havn't had any problems yet.
