Channeling a frame is when you build a channel in the floor for the frame to rest in.the Only channel I have seen is on a old school and a few choice trucks.Your refering to a standard bodydrop.

The only difference in my shop is stock floor and how big a wheel your running..

Now just outa curiousity when a shop does a bodydrop does that mean that they make everything work with the body drop or is that extra, like say if if somone brought a stripped down vehicle to a shop would they charge less than a complete vehicle?

yes but doing a stripped truck can be harder, b/c they dont have all the pieces to make sure everything fits back.. i.e. shifter hitting dash, etc.. sometimes you have to do little mods when you get it back.
