the only problem is i'm running an irs rear end, so i don't have the advantage of running the bags off of the 4 link bars,so my next question is how close to the pivot point can i go without causing too much stress?

unfortunately i don't have any, but do you know how close i could go to the pivot point? right now the bags are about 6" away. if i mount the bags almost directly over the pivot point is that too much stress.

it's actually on a vw, but the concept is the same. and the way it is set-up now i get about 7-8" of lift. and i've been racking my brain to figure out how to get more lift. the suspension travel is about 24" but the bags are my hold up now. any advice would be appreciated

well if you are doing a IRS, you could make a full subframe that lifted and lowered also, would be allot of work and have no idea why you would want to.... so basically u would have 2 suspensions in one.

Not really, the bag we used was a Firestone 20C at ride height it was only at 60 psi. So if it were to fully colapse off a jump it would only go to 200psi at the most. Plus we used bypass shocks to control the rising spring rate that bags inheritly have.

As for the VW is it swing axle or IRS?
