Well guys I really like this topic I will have to start digging for the old pictures I got in my first club in 1970. There were some interesting trucks out there. Back then you had to build your own lowering blocks and there were only about three types of wheels you could get. My first truck was a 1966 Datsun That I bought in 1970. I think the first true Mini Truck club that would be the first is Banzai Trucks Unlimited they started in late 1969 in Whittier California. I meet one of the guys his Nick Name was Opie I got into that club in Jan of 1970. I know it makes me one of the few old timers that are still in the scene. Banzai broke up in 1975. Then I went To Westside Truckers for a year and in 1976 I started Sunset Truckers on New Years Eve of 1976. So if you are at Reso this year stop by have a beer and celebrate my 30th being in Sunset and 36 years in Mini Truckin. Thanks for letting me put in my two cents Bob Hase
Thanks we did have a great time with you guys from Freaks
oh my god Banzai theres a guy i used to work with who claimed to have rolled with those guys back in the day, goes by the name of Dennis Smith
