Lunatik, if you want to do it, then do it! you build the truck to your liking, not everyone else's.

my uncle put a ford motor in his '52 chevy and kept the Ford valve covers on it just to piss people off. i'm a firm believer that a Ford car shouldn't have a Chevy motor but i do see the logic in having one tho.

I'm putting a Chevy motor in my Mercedes most likely.
If that does not piss them off, seeing what I am doing to it now will.

do it, I'm a 4 cyl guy and not taking anything away from the V8 swap guys but I like revving the piss out of something to get where I'm going.

I'm either putting a duratec/zetec motor in my mazda or a 94 318is 16v. I'll park next to you homie.

Although you could consider the ecotec out of a solstice, they have 170hp and a 6 spd trans, there is a guy on ebay selling swap kits for like a grand. The throttle by wire on those makes me wet.

Go for it- like everyone else said, rod guys have been putting Chevys in Fords since forever.
Not to mention Jag rear ends, and of course we put RX7 rear ends in Toyotas, Toyota front clips in Ford Rangers, Courier rear ends in Nissans... who cares what's under the hood, as long as it gets you rolling and looks sick?
Also, there's already that Ranger and Mazda with the S2000 swaps, so you won't be alone!

i think motorswaps are killer

I've got to be honest...it's one of my pet peves seeing chev engines in Fords, dodges, etc. You're building a custom ride. It's expensive. Who cares if chev engines are cheap. However, I don't think it matters as much in the import world. Hell, I'd love to put a Supra engine in my Mazda. That's my opinion.
