best way to narrow a eclipse rear solid axle. need help

hey dudes. im gonna be starting on my rear suspention this weekend and was wondering if anyone has a good idea on narrowing my rear eclipse solid axle. im gonna be replacing the middle axle with 1/4" 2x2. any ideas are welcome. i just fgure someone might have a better idea then i have for doin it. thanks for reading

take your measurements and use a chop saw to get an accurate cut

lock the axle into a jig, so everything stays square. Take the chop saw to it, section it down, weld it up.

just take lots of measurements, keep everything square and make some gooood welds and youll be good.
