i'd have to agree with you on this. i know a guy who is friends with the owner of the car. he had bought a pre-made fiberglass body with a chassis and motor and painted it and some body work to look like an old "barn find" hot rod. so he really didn't build the car.

i was told the owner is a real douche too, he had a reserve on that auction @ $70,000 and pulled the ad when it reached $69,000. he then put the ad back on and it didn't reach half of what the previous. just to let people know, refrain from using the term "rat rod".
