jeff. glad someone has said it because it is so true. you guys are like a second family to me and i would do anything to help any of you out. i also know you would do the same thing for me. this post really makes since after talking to you earlier. you are exactly right.

Also since everyone seems to have read what you wrote but me, and most people are agreeing, I totally agree with you.

I got out of the minitruck thing because of the same thing your saying..Its the people that ruined it for me..I had several minis between 1987 to 2005..I finally sold the last one last year ...done,finished,no more..I'll stick with my old vw beetles & my 63 nova ss..I also dont go to any mini related shows.....I'll always do custom ,I'm just finished with that chapter of my life..

needed to be said absolutly 100%. you cant disagree with jeff and pretend its a phase that the s___e is going through didnt say it. i'm relatively new to this lifestyle,since 98 roughly, and i have seen it gradually go downhill. this is from the shows i've been to in FL,not naming, has NOTHING to do with the hosting groups or people involved. its mostly the kids whose parents lend them their cars and let them come to the shows and they dont know how to act , so they basically go nuts. i've seen it. example, at slamfest we had a dope ass sec. gaurd, he was chill no problems at all, then some FAGGOT ASS,i said that, dipshit throws a beer bottle or whatever it was and then ruins it for us and the beer pong game going on downstairs,thats really the unfortunate part, honestly. i just cant understand why people get so dumb. i do dumb shit but not something that will ruin everybody elses time. sorry but i agree with jeff----short response lol

I'm going to agree with Jeff and say this is a major thing here. Most people casually 'blow it off' and say that it's nothing and say stop being whiney but people sit back and think. It's not always some other group intruding our space at shows, half of the time it's our own "family" acting like fools and making us all look bad. And me, really, typing this isn't adding fuel to the fire since some people are so damn ignorant as to look toward the future of this thing they wrap all their time, money, and dedication into. Maybe us who actually worry about it are the crazy ones and the others out there destroying our reputations at shows and hotels by acting like idiots are the ones who have a true grip on things. They're the smart ones. A point was made earlier about the hot rod shows and how smooth they're run and also how popular they are. Hell these things are broadcast on national TV and everyone's seen how they are. Majority older/mature age-base with wives and children living it up. I think it's awesome to see that and I to myself I seriously doubt our complete scene making it that far. Twenty, fifteen, hell even ten years down the road. The hot rod community talks junk about us because in some case they have the right to. We're the ones making fools of ourselves. If some people would look outside the bubble of their rebellious-like lives at shows and think about other (public community) people, then I think a hint of the stupidity would cease. Shit man I'm 18 and already sick and tired of 30% of what I see at shows and how people act. But oh well I guess I'll look past it and hope for the best in the future, right?

Remember, we are are part of a broad an extended family... 'Nuff said.

the weird thing is,the shit talkers,no it alls and haters that i see in almost every other thread do not have anything to say in this thread.at least they know who they are.good job jeff.hope this thread helps things get better.

jeff well said i agree with you 100% but like someone else said on here some of the b.s is from just dumbass people who think there sh#t does not stink.one thing i did not see on here was we all have to take a step back and look at the big picture going to a show is not right but a privalge if the people that set up and run the shows says fu#$k it guess what no shows.when a lot of people go to a show out of town they think right on and become instant assh#les and treat others rides,feelings,property like crap and that it is there right to do this. GUESS WHAT YOUR WRONG.sometimes just keeping your b.s comments to yourself makes you or your club look way more classy
