yes, you actually stretch the tire a good 1-1.5in, and the bigger the wheel size, the more it has to stretch.

i'd hate to see it happen. if it takes someone to have a failure and die until people realize it's a dumb idea, there's something wrong.

If I remember my high school math right lets see

3.14 x (12.25 x 12.25) = 3.14 x 150 =471

3.14 x (12 x 12) = 3.14 x 144 =452

471 - 452 = 19

19 inch difference in circumfrence would be a big deal. IMO
