yeah, that works, that design is a lil chunky, but works. You can also notch the control arm with a piece of pipe for the stock shaft to fit in when all the way down.

I have a 71 GMC, it lays rockers, what I did is notched the crossmember 3 1/2 inchs and then I took some new rubber body mounts and cut them in half, lays rocker pretty hard, everyone said that I would have to raise my tranny tunnel, but all I did was notched the center of the front X-member for room for the oil pan, made new motor mounts, now the motor sits in the same place it did before I ripped it out, and the body lays, I found it pretty easy to do.

You know, everyone on this site had a "first" truck. You think when Chip Foose thought about his first car/truck, his dad looked at him and said "you want to body drop it but but you can't figure out how to get it to lay, scary to me".

You forgot to mention one thing....

Chip Fooses dad is Sam Foose, he is a GOD when it comes to building rods...thats how Chip learned how to build cars..not hackin up his own ride

What the crap If you got that much money in it already buy a crossmember from FatManBab or Heidts that way you can run a rack and mustang II style arms and spidles and a tubular Crossmember looks alot better than a cut up stock piece. My opinion

Your right, Chip Foose did have his dad Sam Foose. Well you know, not everyone has a dad like Sam Foose. Some people no longer have a father
