6.2 & 6.5's are shit if you can get the money get a newer 6.6lb7 lly lbz (newer chevy) that way you can smoke the crummins and the powerjokes and still get 14mpg while towing your mini.

I dont know about you guys but i got the small 4.6 in my f150 and have made many of many trips towing my extended cab dime with extra bed weight and i have no problem rolling 80+ mph. My bos has the durimax towing a 16,000lb trailor it has 100% no problem running 70+ So unless you plan on 5th wheeling 3 minis than i wouldnt worry about getting the biggest and the baddest tow pig if you are only going to use it every once in a while for shows.

16k isnt shit man. Ive been on the DOT scales wieghing in at 36,700 LBS and still ran up the road doing 85 getting 10-12 mpg with a hieght of 13.2 with a 03 Cummins. Ive seen a dodge hauling a 53 foot gooseneck hauling 2 Combine heads that were hanging off the tail 4 foot or more.Pay attention while your driving and you will see 70% of hot shotters and transporters use dodge. They use them for a reason. Unloaded my truck would get 23mpg. Ive hauled 3 trucks to a show and have done over 100mph no damn problem. Get a chevy if you like replacing wiring harness and injectors every few months.

if you really need to haul something, hands down cummings.
if you're just looking for a trailer toater with a decent "daily driver" status. the 6.5 or 6.2 will work okay.
Just remember, you won't be pulling over a house with it.

lets be real about why most of the haulers are using dodge its not the power its the price u can get a new dodge cheaper than a used chevy or ford atleast thats how it is in fl

buy whatever fits your budget
honestly they're all the same...
all the machines that build the trucks are built by the same people and the same technology... all the products are made by the same vendors, they just have different logos..
Buy what you like, fuck what everyone says.
I've seen people with fords, chevys and dodges all working well, and inversly all not working well.
it's really luck of the draw.
buy what you want man. There's a ton of those 6.2 & 6.5 diesels on the road... they're not all in a corn field, so it's not all that bad.
