mine fame was fully arc welded--- never seen it used for sheetmetal -- it does depend on the gauge ----- as for my frame --- fully arc'd and its all good !!!!!

its find for frame but i wouldent mess with sheetmetal with one.

I welded my entire frame with an arc welder. You can't beat the strength and penetration of an arc weld on ur frame. Can't control the heat good enough to weld on thin sheetmetal though. Thats why I bought a mig also.
