thats what im using to cut my spring pocket in my monte carlo HARBOR FREIGHT grinder....lol with a cut off weel on it just dont forget to wear your eye protection, got to love it when you get metal in your eye ball and it starts to rust but the best part is when they scrape it out GOOD TIMES ..........LOL

i used a drill and made a hole to fit a sawzall in on my bed to cut my wheel wells..But me and dad always use 4.5" grinders. Only time i have trouble with wheels blowing up is when we use Black & Decker...We normally get some from the welding supply store i dont even know the name right off and they have never blown. but sometimes u run outta wheels and slammin & jammin is the next day and the welding supply store is closed so u gotta resort to wal-mart

I got 2 of them things. 1 always has a cutoff wheel and the other aways has a flap disc on it.. Use them all the time never had any problems with them.

I have a 4.5" electric that I got from a tool supply store, I think its a cheapo clark but I have used it for 3 years and its worked great. I will warn you that in addition to face shields and eye protection be aware that these bishes have some torque and when you tweak one and it kicks back, its going to kick back hard. You gotta be ready to react to it. I wasnt, because Im fat and slow, that bish kicked and cut me from my right titty down to halfway on my stomach. That freakin hurt and my wife wasnt very happy with me OR my truck. She thinks the whore in the garage did it on purpose. Its ok I still love the both of them.

just watch the torque and kickback

your 3 gallon tank will work. I have used a small 1 gallon compressor and tank t cut some springs befor. I guess it all depends on what you are cutting though.

it depends on the cfm that the tool needs at its working pressure to see if you ahvea compressor that will support that tool.
