Suppose I ran into a set of 19.5" Alcoas. If I didn't want to mill them down, what tire size would you run that would be about the same diameter as a 225/70/16?
Or would I be better off just getting 19's?
What size tire do you guys run on your 19's?
Thanks, Brother.
as far as i know they dont make any low pro 19.5s but i could be horribly wrong and lock can school me.
I think your right.
Basically, this is what I'm thinking:
I'm thinking I might be able to pick up a set of basic 19.5" Alcoas fairly cheap, because they are not as popular as, for instance a Brentz-type 19". However, the tire sizes availible are more limited for our application, but if I can get something close to the diameter of a 225/70/16 that will fit on a 19.5 then I'm cool.
I'd like to run some 19's but the price is a bit of a deterrent. I was just thinking that this might be a good compromise. Unless the price for a 19 and a 19.5 are virtually the same. In steps Lock...
School me.
I recomend the American force 19.5s milled down to a 19 with 245/45 rubber. You can get those wheels for $1400 or less....plus milling.
I know they make a lower profile 19.5 but the sidewall is still about 4'' tall. A buddy of mine put them on the back of his welder truck because the big ones kept hitting the bottom of the flatbed.
Do they mill them or do you need to send them somewhere else?
The shortest 19.5 that I know of is a 225/70/19.5. As far as the American Force 19.5s milled down I can do that for around 2000 plus some shipping and the tires. Or if you can get some 19.5s for cheap just send them my way and I will mill them down for you.
Well, why don't you just tell me how to mill them down...
Just effin' wit cha', kneegrow.
I'm still kickin it around. I'll let you know. Thanks homie.
HAHAHA Just let me know what you want to do and I will hook you up. L8R
Yeah, well, my trucks too much of a beater so I gotta buy Pig's truck first. But that whore wants an arm and a leg by now...
